Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro / Moshi

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to your hotel in Moshi. Meet your guides and review the trek plan. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Londorossi Gate (2,100m) to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,850m)
Distance: ~7 km
Hiking Time: 3-4 hours
Habitat: Rainforest
Start your trek through lush rainforest and camp at Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree Camp).

Day 3: Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,850m) to Shira 2 Camp (3,850m)
Distance: ~16 km
Hiking Time: 6-8 hours
Habitat: Moorland
Cross Shira Plateau, passing Shira 1 Camp, with panoramic views of Kibo Peak. Overnight at Shira 2 Camp.

Day 4: Shira 2 Camp (3,850m) to Lava Tower (4,600m) then Barranco Camp (3,976m)

Climb Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp via the Western Breach.

Day 5: Barranco Camp (3,976m) to Karanga Camp (4,035m)

Climb the famous Barranco Wall, continue across Karanga Valley, and reach Karanga Camp.

Day 6: Karanga Camp (4,035m) to Barafu Camp (4,673m)

Short steep hike to Barafu Camp, final base for the summit attempt. Early dinner and rest.

Day 7: Barafu Camp (4,673m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) to Mweka Camp (3,100m)

Habitat: Arctic to Rainforest
Midnight summit attempt to Uhuru Peak for sunrise. Descend to Mweka Camp for rest.

Day 8: Mweka Camp (3,100m) to Mweka Gate (1,640m)

Hiking Time: 3-4 hours
Habitat: Rainforest
Final descent to Mweka Gate. Receive your summit certificate and transfer back to Moshi or Arusha.
