Day 1: Arusha – Momella Gate – Miriakamba Hut (2,514m)
After breakfast in Arusha, you’ll be picked up by your guide and transferred to Arusha National Park.
At Momella Gate (1,500m), you’ll complete park registration and meet your ranger — all Mount Meru treks require an armed ranger escort for safety, as wildlife like buffalo and elephants roam freely.
Begin your trek through montane forests, spotting colobus monkeys, giraffes, and antelope. The trail gradually ascends through lush greenery, offering breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days.
Arrive at Miriakamba Hut in the late afternoon, where you’ll relax, enjoy dinner, and watch a beautiful sunset over the park.

Day 2: Miriakamba Hut – Descend to Momella Gate – Return to Arusha
Wake up early for a leisurely breakfast and enjoy a short nature walk around the hut to take in the views of Meru Crater and Ash Cone.
Afterward, begin your descent through the forest back to Momella Gate, where your vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to Arusha.
Optional: Stop at Ngurdoto Crater viewpoint or Momella Lakes to see flamingos before returning to your hotel.
